Stanley Medical College (SMC) is a government medical college with hospitals, located in Chennai in the state of Tamil Nadu, India. Though the original hospital is more than 200 years old, the medical college was formally established on July 2, 1938. Stanley Medical College and Hospitals is one of the oldest and well known centers in India in the field of medical education.

The Department of Radiology caters to the entire hospital and has the latest 1.5 Tesla MRI machine and digital X ray unit.Every year 6 post graduate students admitted for DMRD and DNB course. The Faculty of the department includes one professor, two associate professors, two assistant professors and two senior residents. Paramedical course including CRA,DRA and Diploma in radiography are offered in the Department.
